We had planned to return to Shadow Cliffs for practice and trials. Unfortunately Shadow Cliffs has a Danger Advisory warning posted advising to keep animals out of the water.
The EBRPD Water Management Department advises that a even Caution Advisory carries a strong warning to keep dogs out of the water as they are more likely to ingest water than humans. There currently is no plan in place to attempt to eradicate the Cyanobacteria in Shadow Cliffs.
We are making arrangements to return to Camanche Lake for practices and the October water trials. We are still awaiting the contract with Camanche Lake for the 2024 season.
When:
Every Wednesday 9am -3pm, hopefully beginning in late May.
Where:
Camanche Lake North Shore Primitive Area.
Club equipment will be available on practice days.
IMPORTANT!
Due to safety considerations, you may not practice alone during our contracted scheduled dates and times.
All practice spots must be reserved ahead; even on days you are bringing your own equipment. There are no “drop ins” allowed. Time slots are 30 minutes each beginning at 9AM. Each member is allowed up to two 30 minute time slots per week. If you have more than 2 dogs, you will have to split each 30 minute slot between the dogs. If possible, please try to fill the 9AM to 1PM slots first and try to sign up as close to other previously reserved spots to ensure there are plenty of us to help each other.
