PWDCNC Picnic Info Here!
Grab your PWD, put on your water shoes and join us for a GREAT time at Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton. Our picnic is one of the most popular recreational PWDCNC events of the year, and it’s no wonder why:
MEET lots of other PWD owners, their dogs and families
- ENJOY the easy camaraderie and picnic lunch (provided by the club) with others who know how to guard their food
- LEARN more details about upcoming water practice sessions, water match (all levels) & water trial
WATCH PWDs and their humans have fun trying Water work, Rally exercises and mini-Agility runs
TRY some basic Water, Rally and Agility exercises with your PWD, under the direction of skilled handlers
SMILE when you receive a souvenir photo with your PWD emailed after the event
WIN prizes, and
PLAY with your PWD!

Important tips to have a great time…
If you have a tent or beach umbrella it would be a good idea to bring it as there is limited shade. Have no beach umbrella or tent? Any PWDCNC member is happy to share their shade with you and there is some shade provided.
Seriously consider bringing the following items:
Water for your dog
Dog bowl for water and dog food (if needed)
Toys for your dog
Dog collar and leash
Dog crate (optional, but it makes it so much easier to enjoy your food with 2 hands…)
Lunch for you (if you do not want a hamburger, veggie burger or hotdog)
Cool drinks for you (water will be provided by the club)
Picnic blanket and/or chairs
Tent or beach umbrella to keep the sun off
Closed-toe shoes if you want to try water work with your PWD
and…whatever you need to have a super time!
The (not so) fine print…
Off leash dogs are not allowed at the park. Dogs must be on leash or crated at all times. Only dogs doing supervised water exercises or used in water demonstrations are allowed in the water by Marina View Picnic Area. HOWEVER, there is another lake within walking distance of our picnic area where the dogs are allowed in the water off leash.
