Another PWDCNC Regional Specialty has passed. We had wonderful weather in beautiful Napa, California. Matching the weather and beauty were the glorious dogs all ready to strut their stuff and/or perform their obedience and rally routines!

From early morning to end of day, Abby Garner (assisted by her lovely cousin) presented fabulous food and drinks. Morning fare included homemade cookies and scones with fruit and other goodies. Lunch was a Mexican theme with several do it yourself taco fillings and all of the fixins to make them special. In addition, Abby and her cousin made delicious salads and more cookies! After Best of Breed the table was set with wines, sparkling cider, cheese and charcuterie boards! Thank you Abby for your delectable food and good humor throughout the day!

Adding to the beauty and grandeur of the day were the magnificent trophies presented to our Club by our own resident artist, Bee Souza! Bee sent us her original paintings, printed cards and posters, all gorgeous representations of Portuguese Water Dogs on land and at sea -Thank you Bee, we love your work and cherish all of the artwork won throughout the day. Thank you!

This Regional Specialty was presented by a committee of industrious ladies; thank you to the Committee; Becky Morin, Ann Gaskell, Kathy Souza, Janis Welsh and Sherry Hanen and MANY thanks to all of the volunteers who pulled it off! It can’t happen without you, thanks so much!!!

Overall, a grand day, time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, time to revel in the beauty, silliness and unpredictability that lies within each of our favorite PWDs.
