AKC Canine Good Citizen, CGC and CGC Advanced

The PWDCNC is sponsoring AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and CGC Advanced (CGCA) Testing!

Earn your PWD’s 1st AKC title! With a little advance preparation, young and old PWDs alike can qualify for their CGC title.

Even if you already have titles in other venues, the Regional Specialty is a great place to earn the AKC’s “Canine Good Citizen” obedience title. If you already have a CGC, you may take the CGCA test (more complex exercises with more distractions), see https://www.akc.org/products-services/training-programs/canine-good-citizen/akc-community-canine/test-items/  for more information.

Complete information about the test and what exercises are to be performed can be found by visiting: AKC Canine Good Citizen Test Elements

Please note – the cost shown is for the evaluation of your dog’s performance.  In order to receive the AKC title, you will need to complete the form provided by the evaluator and send (or scan and email) with processing payment ($25) to the AKC.  The AKC will then send you a certificate indicating the new title which may be added to your dog’s registered name and will be recorded in AKC records.

Don’t know your PWD’s registered name or AKC/PAL number? The information is on your PWD’s registration form (that you received from your breeder) or contact your breeder and they’ll be able to supply the info you need.
