- Novice teams can overstress about training necessary skills for life or competition.
- Learning training techniques working on tricks takes the stress out of making any mistakes. If you or the dog make a mistake, oh well!, it was just a silly trick!
- The opportunity to take the AKC Novice Trick Dog test.
- Basic good manners—Build your PWD’s confidence and ability to interact politely with the world around them
- Basic skills needed by every dog to be a good companion and begin the path to other fun activities such as rally, obedience, and water work
- Basic skills needed by a PWD’s handler to help the dog be successful
- The opportunity to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test
